<image:caption>I’m glad you’re here… I am passionate about providing virtual psychotherapy to patients with cancer and their caregivers. Through the therapeutic relationship, you are invited to express painful emotions associated with a cancer diagnosis and guided toward finding meaning and purpose in your suffering. I help you articulate your survivor story by working through layers of fear, anxiety, and depression. I gently encourage you to cultivate a mindset of radical acceptance, courage, love, joy, authenticity, hope, self-compassion, forgiveness, and connection.</image:caption>

<image:title>Mental Health Counseling for Cancer Patients and Caregivers in Stuart, Florida - My furry family.</image:title>
<image:caption>I earned a BA in Hospitality Management from Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland (1992) and an MSW from Barry University (2011). I worked in the field of substance abuse treatment for 8 years. In 2021, I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Doctor of Social Work. My dissertation explored the phenomenon of Post Traumatic Growth. This optimistic and healing framework perfectly describes what I see in my cancer patients - the paradoxical, unexpected, and unmistakable growth that follows an earth-shattering, life-changing trauma. I witnessed this transformation routinely during my work with cancer patients at the Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health. The predominant form of therapy I practice is called Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). This healing framework is an emotions-focused, experiential and deeply relational model rooted in attachment theory. Healing starts in the very first session as the warm and attuned therapeutic relationship is co-created. I am actively emotionally engaged with clients. I focus on building trust and safety and accompanying clients in their emotional experiences to undo unbearable aloneness. We face the difficult and beautiful things together. I am a Level 2 AEDP practitioner. I am also in the early stages of training to become a Certified Biblical Counselor. I am licensed to practice anywhere in Florida (SW#11899), North Carolina (C014006) and the state of Washington (LW# 61192043).</image:caption>

<image:title>Christian counseling for cancer patients and caregivers in Stuart, Florida - Christian Psychotherapy for Patients with Cancer and Caregivers Does your faith influence how you look at the presence of cancer in your life? Is your faith shaken because of the diagnosis? Do you long to discuss how you have been affected by cancer through a Christian worldview and Biblical lens? Do you want to explore your diagnosis in light of what the scriptures say about trials, suffering, affliction, life and death, perseverance, faith, trust, hope, and healing? I offer the service of Christian psychotherapy to patients with cancer and caregivers upon request. I desire to help you work through your cancer journey in a warm therapeutic relationship that is centered on prayer and God’s word, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and surrendered to the infinite love of Jesus. I provide Christian psychotherapy to individuals when specifically requested. I respect the beliefs or non-belief of all people. All are welcome in my practice- no matter what. I have found that some cancer survivors and caregivers prefer to experience therapy through a Biblical and God-centered lens. If that is you, I am delighted to tailor our sessions to suit your individual needs and preferences. FEES</image:title>
